AUSTIN, TX February 10, 2012 – The Toros today announced they have reacquired guard Carldell “Squeaky” Johnson. Long-time fan favorite, Johnson returns to the team after appearing in 15 games for the New Orleans Hornets, averaging 1.8 points and 1.5 assists in 7.9 minutes. Johnson rejoined the team today and is expected to play tonight when the Toros take on the RGV Vipers in McAllen, Texas.
Prior to participating in the Hornets training camp in December, Johnson played in four games for the Toros averaging 14.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.8 assists. The 2011-12 season marks Johnson’s fifth with the Toros.
Fans can watch the Toros on Futurecast, the D-League’s free ticket to all the action at nba.com/futurecast tonight and Saturday. Both games against RGV start at 7:00p.m. CST.
The Toros are on an extended road trip and will return to Cedar Park Center on Wednesday, February 22nd to face the Tulsa 66ers at 7:30p.m. Tickets start at just $5.
