Capital City Dance Director and Choreographer

Terrie Meyer

This is Terrie’s third year as director and choreographer of both the Capital City Dancers and the Jr. Toros Dancers. Terrie brings 28 years of dance experience and 14 years of coaching experience in the areas of dance and cheerleading. She has choreographed National Champion dance performances for numerous competitions including American Dance/Drill Team, Cheer America, Power Dance, and Universal Dance Association. In the past five years of coaching a high school team, she managed to win 5 Back-to-Back State titles, 3 National titles in the same year, and 2 International titles in the same year. She has been named ADTS Outstanding Director at State for 2 years. She is also the former assistant coach of the University of Texas Longhorn Pom Squad.

Terrie has trained under choreographers such as Barry Youngblood, Tyce Diorio, and Brian Friedman who have worked with some of the leading names in pop music including Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Pink and Christina Aguilera.

Currently, she is a 14 year veteran staff member of the Universal Dance Association based in Memphis, Tenn. Terrie is a Head Instructor for UDA and is a Head Judge at the National Dance Team Championships televised on ESPN.

A graduate of the University of North Texas, Terrie currently holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Dance, where she was also a Varsity Cheerleader. Additionally, she choreographs for numerous high school, college, and all-star teams such as Cheer Station.
