Terrie Meyer is the director and choreographer of both
the Capital City Dance Team and the Jr. Toros Dancers. She brings over 12 years
of experience in the areas of dance and cheerleading and has choreographed national
champion dance performances for numerous competitions including American Dance/Drill
Team, Cheer America, Power Dance, and Universal Dance Association. In the past
five years of coaching a high school team, she managed to win 5 back-to-back
state titles, 3 national titles in the same year, and 2 international titles
in the same year. She has been named ADTS Outstanding Director at State for
2 years. She is also the former assistant coach of the University of Texas Longhorn
Pom Squad.
Terrie has trained under choreographers such as Barry Youngblood, Tyce Diorio and Brian Friedman who have worked with some of the leading names in pop music including Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Pink and Christina Aguilera.
Currently, she is on the dance staff at Universal Dance Association based in of Memphis, Tenn. Terrie is a Head Instructor for UDA and is a Head Judge at the National Dance Team Championships televised on ESPN.
A graduate of the University of North Texas, Terrie currently holds a Bachelor
of Science degree in kinesiology and dance, where she was also a varsity cheerleader.
Additionally, she choreographs for numerous high school teams, college teams
and all-star teams such as Cheer Station.
