AUSTIN, TX July 27, 2010 – The Austin Toros today announced the scheduled dates for the annual local player tryouts in Austin and San Antonio for the 2010-2011 NBA D-League season.
The first tryout is scheduled for Saturday, September 25th in San Antonio at the Factory of Champions. The Austin tryout is scheduled for October 9th at Concordia University. Check-in begins at 9 a.m. and tryouts are expected to last until 3 p.m.
During tryouts, players will take part in shooting drills, individual assessments and scrimmages. Prospects will be observed by Austin Toros basketball operations staff.
Selected players participating in the workouts may be invited to the Toros training camp this fall and compete for an opening night roster spot.
Interested players should submit completed registration, disclosure, and release forms along with a $150 non-refundable participation fee to the Toros office. Late registration is $175 for all forms received after Monday, September 20th at 5p.m. Tryouts are limited to the first 100 applicants who submit completed registration forms and payment.
