E.J. Singler Wins NBA D-League Three-Point Contest at the Buzzer

Idaho Stampede small forward E.J. Singler been one of the NBA D-League's best under-the-radar shooters all season long. But after Saturday, he may not be flying under the radar much longer.

Singler emerged victorious in the 2014 Boost Mobile NBA D-League Three-Point Competition, beating out five other competitors, including RGV Vipers sharpshooter Troy Daniels in the final round. It took more than just one final round to settle the score, however, as the two finalists each finished with 14 points to force a tiebreaker.

After Daniels put up 18 in the re-do, Singler came out of the gates slow and entered the final rack -- his chosen "money ball" rack -- needing six points to win. Then he drilled his last three shots, including the buzzer-beater that vaulted him past Daniels and sparked a celebration alongside Stampede teammates Pierre Jackson and Dee Bost.
