May 3 -- Few plays in basketball are as stylish as a well-executed alley-oop, which can rally a home crowd and deflate the opposition while putting points on the board. Take a look at three exciting NBA duos who made the oop a mainstay of their offensive repertoire:

Cooper

Johnson

Magic Johnson to Michael Cooper
A staple of the Showtime-era Los Angeles Lakers, the "Coop-a-loop" could come in a half-court set as easily as a fast break thanks to the court vision of Magic Johnson and the sneaky quickness of 6-5 shooting guard Michael Cooper. Though Cooper was known as a defensive specialist, he had the athleticism to throw down all of Magic's pinpoint passes.

Kemp

Payton

Gary Payton to Shawn Kemp
The mid-'90s Seattle Sonics were a team that relied on a trapping defense and a running, transition offense anchored by The Glove and the Reign Man. Payton would find Kemp slipping behind slow-to-react opposition and telegraph a pass for the 6-10 forward to punctuate with a thunderous jam.

Martin

Kidd

Jason Kidd to Kenyon Martin
No point guard in today's NBA is as quick, reliable and accurate on the fast break as New Jersey's Jason Kidd, who will toss up an alley oop for any teammate near the basket. But no Net jams with the authority and ferocity of 6-9 forward Kenyon Martin, the frequent beneficiary of Kidd's laser-guided lobs.
