Assistant Coach
Myers joins the Warriors having spent the last 12 seasons with the Chicago Bulls as an assistant coach and scout. He originally joined the Bulls as a scout during the 1999-2000 season before joining the team’s coaching staff in the middle of the 2001-02 campaign. After nine seasons on the Bulls bench as an assistant coach – including stints as interim head coach for two games during the 2003-04 season and one game during the 2007-08 season – Myers returned to scouting for Chicago last season.
As a player, Myers appeared in 377 regular-season games over nine NBA seasons with seven teams (the Bulls, Spurs, 76ers, Knicks, Nets, Heat & Hornets) between 1986 and 1998, averaging a combined 4.8 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists. He had his finest NBA season in 1993-94, appearing in a career-high 82 games (81 starts) with Chicago and averaging career-highs of 7.9 points, 3.0 assists and 24.8 minutes per contest. In addition to his NBA experience, the Mobile, Alabama, native also played in the CBA and the Italian League.
