Mike is currently in his ninth season with the Chicago Bulls as an assistant coach and his 16th year overall in the NBA … prior to joining the Bulls, Wilhelm spent the 2001-02 season as a regional advance scout for the Denver Nuggets … first entered the NBA with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Mike Fratello’s staff during the 1993-94 season, where he served as the team’s assistant video coordinator … Wilhelm became the head video coordinator in 1996, a position he held until 1999 when he became the team’s advance scout on Randy Wittman’s staff … during that time, he also served as assistant coach for the WNBA’s Cleveland Rockers from 1997 through the 1999 season, winning the Eastern Conference Championship with the Rockers in 1998 … coaching career began in Sweden’s professional league, where he directed the Sundsvall Dragons for two seasons from 1990-92 … worked the NBA’s Basketball Without Borders in China in 2006 … played basketball at Southampton College in Long Island from 1986 through 1990 and graduated with a degree in history … received a master’s degree in sports administration from Ohio University in 1993 … Wilhelm, a native Clevelander, played his high school basketball at St. Ignatius in Cleveland … Wilhelm, 44, and his wife Annika have two children, Max and Isabella.
