Assistant Coach/Player Development
Luke Stuckey begins his first season as an assistant coach/player development with the Orlando Magic.
Stuckey spent the last four seasons (2008-12) as varsity head coach at San Dieguito Academy in Encinitas, CA, a suburb of San Diego. He guided the Mustangs to back-to-back playoff appearances in 2010-11 and 2011-12 for the first time in school history. Stuckey also spent time as an assistant coach at La Jolla High School, also in San Diego.
After graduating from Bishop McNamara High School in Illinois, Stuckey played two years at Northland Community College in Minnesota. He then attended Iowa Wesleyan College to play basketball, before having his career cut short due to a knee injury.
A native of Kankakee, Ill., just south of Chicago, Stuckey received his bachelorís degree in exercise science from Iowa Wesleyan. He also received a masterís of education degree in 2012.
