Lloyd Pierce enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Sixers. He spent the previous two seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies as an Assistant Coach-Player Development and has 17 years of professional and collegiate experience.

Prior to working with the Grizzlies, Pierce spent the 2010-11 season as an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors. He also served three seasons as player development coordinator for the Cleveland Cavaliers (2007-10).

As a player, Pierce played four seasons internationally in Mexico, Australia, Germany and Turkey before returning to his alma mater, Santa Clara University (2002-2007), as an Assistant Coach under Dick Davey.

The San Jose native played all four seasons at Santa Clara, teaming with two-time MVP Steve Nash and leading the Broncos to consecutive NCAA Tournament berths in 1995 and 1996 before graduating with a degree in business management.
