Now in his eleventh season with the Wizards, Drew Cleary has become a fixture in the team’s facilities. Prior to his return to DC in 2004, Cleary saw stints as an assistant with the Portland Trail Blazers and the Orlando Magic. He also personally trained Scottie Pippen (2001-2004) and Monica Seles (1997).

Cleary earned his Master’s degree in exercise science from Boise State University (1995) and received a Bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and psychology from Lewis-Clark State College (1994), where he was a point guard on the basketball team. Cleary actively helps young basketball players through designing strength and conditioning programs. With his wife, Patrice, Cleary has a son, Hunter.
