David Macha
Rehabilitation Coordinator/Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach

 

David Macha begins his 10th season with the Houston Rockets. He works in the design and implementation of playerís individual strength, conditioning and nutritional programs on a year-round basis. He also aids in coordinating the teamís flexibility program and assists the Rockets sports medicine staff in the rehabilitation and care of injured players.

 

Prior to joining the Rockets, Macha served as a clinical coordinator for TIRR Rehab and HealthSouth at the Texas Medical Center. He has over 15 years of experience in the rehabilitation of sports injuries and worked with numerous professional athletes in a variety of sports prior to joining the Rockets. Macha certifications include NASM-PES, NASM-CES, USAW-Club Coach Certified and a Sports Performance coach. He is also a licensed physical therapist assistant.

 

Macha graduated from Wharton County Junior College with degrees in applied sciences and physical therapy. He went on to earn his bachelorís degree in 2003 from Almeda University. He and his wife, Monika, live in Richmond with their son, Trent, and daughter, Elise.
