WHAT THEY’RE SAYING IN OKC: GAME 1

Here’s a glimpse at what the Clippers were talking about Monday morning at their media availability before shootaround at Chesapeake Energy Arena:

Asked about how tough the quick turnaround is…

DeAndre Jordan: “They got handed our book on Sunday, too. It’s not like they swept Memphis and they have been waiting on us. Both teams went to Game 7 and they even had some overtime games. The only thing we had was we had to travel. It’s the NBA it’s going to be like that. You’ve just got to be ready. Both teams are tired. Both teams are a little banged up.”

Asked about what it’s like getting the focus back on basketball…

Chris Paul: “I don’t know. Everything’s happened so fast that I haven’t had time to reflect on much of anything. After that Game 7, we knew we had to enjoy it [that night] because then we had to get ready for OKC.”

Asked what he needs to see from his bench players…

Doc Rivers: “A little bit more. I thought they were spotty. Some played well. [Darren Collison] was phenomenal throughout the series, I thought. I thought Baby (Glen Davis) in the minutes he played was really good. I liked Danny [Granger] in Game 7. I thought in the first half he was terrific. It’s just their continuity. When you limit the rotation they don’t play with the same group. So, they have to get used to that.”
