Clippers Sign Exclusive Deal With LiquidSeats

LiquidSeats has signed an exclusive multi-year agreement with the Los Angeles Clippers to provide a secondary ticketing exchange on Clippers.com. The exchange - called the Clippers StubHub - enables Clippers' season ticket holders to sell tickets directly to other fans through a convenient, trusted and easy-to-use system. The Clippers are the first NBA team to offer the LiquidSeats-powered service to their season ticket holders and fans, but join existing LiquidSeats team customers including Major League Baseball's Seattle Mariners and Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Clippers StubHub is powered by the LiquidSeats Engine, a turnkey suite of software and services that provides a user friendly interface and handles all transaction processing, logistics, customer service and payment processing. Sellers can post their tickets for sale in a fixed price or auction format. An automated e-mail notification system alerts interested buyers when tickets they request become available and season ticket holders when a buyer is interested in their specific tickets.

"We are pleased to be offering the LiquidSeats service to our loyal Clippers fans," said Carl Lahr, Clippers' Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales. "LiquidSeats' service allows our season ticket holders to legally and easily be compensated for unused tickets, gives other fans access to tickets that are typically not available, and helps us increase attendance at the stadium. It's a clear win for both the team and the fans."

"We are proud to have the Clippers as our first NBA customer," said Eric H. Baker, President of LiquidSeats. "LiquidSeats' Engine will help the Clippers put fans in seats, allowing the team to increase revenue on ancillary items. We make it easy for the Clippers and their fans by implementing the technology and monitoring the entire physical transfer of the ticket, from beginning to end, for every transaction."

The Clippers are the latest team to embrace this online ticket exchange system, which gives participating teams, fans, venues and artists more control over the secondary ticket market, a market that is estimated at over $10 billion annually. Existing LiquidSeats' customers such as the Mariners and Diamondbacks have already seen the benefits of the revolutionary service.

Tickets from the Clippers and other Los Angeles-area network partners will also be available at LiquidSeats' central aggregation site, www.stubhub.com. Fans can go to www.stubhub.com to buy and sell tickets to their favorite live-events in the greater Los Angeles area.
