2004-05 was star-crossed for Marko Jaric. He missed all of Training Camp '04 due to a fractured left thumb incurred during summer workouts, but burst out of the gate in the regular season with averages of 12.3 ppg and 6.1 apg in November. Unfortunately, two separate and unrelated stress fractures in his right foot forced him to miss nearly six weeks of games over the next four months and when he returned to the lineup after the second round of rehab--he was greeted by a hip pointer and three more games in street clothes. Despite the setbacks, Jaric finished the year with career-best numbers in nearly every category and led LA in assists (6.1) and steals (1.68) per game.
