Rebraca Medical Update

POSTED: November 30th, 2005

Rebraca
Clippers center Zeljko Rebraca today underwent a successful ablation of the accessory bypass tract, a procedure designed to help prevent a recurrence of the symptoms of an irregular heartbeat which has kept him sidelined for the last three games. The procedure was performed by Dr. Fred Morady at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. Rebraca was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat at the conclusion of the Clippers game against Toronto on November 23rd. He was hospitalized overnight for further tests and was released on November 24th after his heartbeat returned to a normal rhythm.

Morady performed the same procedure on Rebraca on August 7, 2003, after he missed 50 games for the Pistons during the 2002-03 season due to a recurring irregular heartbeat.

Rebraca is expected to be cleared to begin conditioning drills in one week and return to game action in approximately one month.
