Clippers Sign Mikki Moore

The Clippers today signed free agent center Mikki Moore, it was announced by Vice President of Basketball Operations Elgin Baylor.

A six-year NBA veteran, Moore averaged 4.1 points and 2.6 rebounds in 32 games played last season for the New Jersey Nets and Utah Jazz. Moore played four games for the Nets at the outset of the 2003-04 season, before being waived and subsequently joining the Roanoke Dazzle of the NBDL, where he averaged 20.4 points and 8.9 rebounds in 17 games.

He was signed by the Jazz to the first of two consecutive 10-day contracts on 1/28/04 and was signed by Utah for the remainder of the season on 3/5/04. While in Utah, Moore averaged 4.6 points and 2.9 rebounds in 13.8 minutes per contest. He also connected on 49-94 FG (.521) and 30-35 FT (.857).

Over his career, Moore has tallied 4.5 points and 3.2 rebounds while connecting on 52% of his field goal attempts and 77% of his free throws. Moore recorded his most productive NBA season in 1999, when he notched 7.9 points and 3.9 rebounds in 29 games played for the Detroit Pistons. In addition, Moore connected on 87-140 FG (.621) and 54-68 FT (.794) on the year.
