Clippers Sign Luke Jackson to 10-Day Contract

The 10th overall selection in the 2004 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Jackson played in six games with the Idaho Stampede of the NBA Developmental League (NBDL) this season. In his six games with the Stampede, Jackson averaged 12.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 30.8 minutes per game.
A former standout at the University of Oregon, Jackson appeared in 10 games with Cleveland in 2004-05 as a rookie, averaging 2.9 points per game. He played in 36 games with the Cavs in 2005-06, averaging 2.7 points before being traded to the Boston Celtics along with cash considerations on Oct. 13, 2006 for Dwayne Jones. Jackson played for the Celtics during the 2006-07 preseason before signing with the Stampede on Dec. 19.
Jackson played four seasons at Oregon and was a finalist for the Wooden and Naismith Player of the Year awards, as well as earning First Team All-American honors from The Sporting News, Basketball Times, ESPN.com and CBS Sportsline.com. As a senior, Jackson led Oregon in scoring (21.2 ppg), rebounding (7.2 rpg) and assists (4.5 apg) and finished his college career as one of only two players in Pac-10 Conference history to accumulate over 1,900 points, 700 rebounds and 400 assists.
