110 Freeway Ramp Closure Information

As part of the $25 million Harbor Freeway (SR-110) Improvement project, Caltrans will close the 11th Street on-ramp to northbound 110 Freeway starting Sunday, April 10th, 2011 and will remain closed until the end of the year.

The project will add outside merging lanes and improve the SR110/I-10 interchange and several ramps, enhancing access to downtown Los Angeles.

In addition on March 29th, Caltrans also shut down the Olympic Blvd. off-ramp on the 110 Freeway South. The posted detours for this closures is to exit at the 8th Street off-ramp, proceed to Union Avenue and make a left, then make a left on to 11th Street and proceed to towards, STAPLES Center and L.A. LIVE.

The northbound 110 Freeway on-ramp is used frequently by the guests that visit STAPLES Center, Nokia Theatre and L.A. LIVE. Below is the map detailing the detour route provided by the Los Angeles Department of Transportation.
