Clippers Sign Eisley

Howard Eisley brings an extensive playoff resume to Los Angeles.
The Clippers have signed free agent guard Howard Eisley, it was announced by Vice President of Basketball Operations Elgin Baylor.

An eleven year NBA veteran, Eisley has averaged 6.7 points, 3.6 assists, 1.7 rebounds and 20.7 points over his career. He has also connected on 1,847-4,514 FG (.409), 503-1,432 3FG (.351) and 818-989 FT (.827) over that span. In 74 games played for Utah during the 2004-05 campaign, Eisley tallied 5.6 points, 3.4 assists and 19.3 minutes per game.

Eisley turned in his most productive NBA season in 2002, when he tallied a career-high 9.1 points and 5.4 assists while logging 27.4 minutes in 82 games played for the New York Knicks.

Selected out of Boston College by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round (30th overall) of the 1994 NBA Draft, Eisley has also averaged 5.2 points and 2.6 assists in 88 playoff games over his career. He played a significant role in helping the Utah Jazz to two consecutive Western Conference Championships in 1997 and 1998, averaging 5.6 points in each season’s playoffs as John Stockton’s backup off the bench.
