Clippers General Manager Mike Dunleavy on Tuesday's Trade

The following is a statement released by Clippers General Manager Mike Dunleavy following the team's acquisition of Steve Blake and Travis Outlaw.

Dunleavy
"We made this deal to add younger players at multiple positions of need. We shored up our backup point guard position and added mobility, range shooting and versatility to our front line.

Steve Blake is an accomplished point guard in this league who plays starters minutes and led Portland to the playoffs last year. Travis Outlaw is a big three/mobile power forward that is tremendously athletic and has the ability to make big plays on both ends.

This move also frees up significant playing time for DeAndre Jordan and Craig Smith while maintaining our salary cap flexibility for this summer."
