"It went well. I just tried to work hard."

"No, its my third workout. I've already been to Boston and Washington."
Who was your basketball idol growing up?
"Kevin Garnett."
How would you sum up your game?
"I can play outside and I can play inside. In college, I played inside because I was the biggest player on my team, but I can move out and defend out on the wing. Basically, I just want to play!"
Growing up in Senegal, your high school team didn't even have a basketball team. How did you start playing hoops?
"Soccer was my first sport in Senegal, but growing up, I lived next to a gym. One day, I just started playing around and everyone began telling me that I should play basketball. So that's how it started. This is my seventh year playing basketball, and I have a lot to learn, but I try to get better each day."
How did you make the jump from Senegal to Cal-State Fullerton?
"[The CS Fullerton Coach] came over to see me play and told me that I had talent. He asked if I wanted to come to the US to play. He then talked to my parents and they said it was fine. When I first got [to the U.S.], I was supposed to go to Fullerton right away. However, I couldn't speak one word of English, so I had to go to a junior college for a year. After that I transferred to Fullerton. I had a great time there."
