Opening statement…
"We’re happy to say the two players that we acquired will help us very much. They'll make us a much stronger ball club. We’re familiar with Jason Hart who played for us more than a year ago. He can make the open shot, take care of the basketball, run the offense and he’s just a great guy to play basketball with. He’s going to be a great asset to our team. Ricky Davis is a tremendous basketball player. He’s very versatile and he’s a terrific offensive player. He can also put the ball on the floor and get to the basket which is going to help us a great deal. Jason Hart can also make the open shot and can definitely help our low post perimeter players. He can make perimeter shots, take the ball to the basket and make plays. We’re very happy to have these two players here."
On whether this new roster is a Playoff contending team…
"With the talent that we have, I think so. I think we have the potential. We’re much stronger with the addition of these two players. With the other moves that we have made I think we have strengthened ourselves in just about every position. We’re going to be a much better ball club."
On the Clippers’ busy off-season…
"We’ve put together a very good team. We’ve got young and experienced players. We’re going to be a better defensive team than we were last year, and there’s no doubt now with the players we’ve acquired, we’re going to be a better offensive team."

On cutting off his trademark braids…
"I was thinking about doing it last year. It means something to cut the braids off. I've got a new look."
His thoughts on the roster…
"We’ve got a lot of excitement. We have got every position filled up. Hopefully we can put the chemistry together. I think that’s the important key – that guys are hungry and coming from other teams, hopefully that will bring spirit into the locker room and we can go out and win games."
On starting vs. coming off the bench…
"It doesn’t really matter. I’ve started in my career and I’ve come off the bench. I think one of the hardest things to do in the NBA is come off the bench. I’m prepared to lead or come off the bench. It all comes down to who’s in the game. Between coming off the bench or starting, it doesn’t really matter."

On coming back to the Clippers…
"I’m happy to be back. I never thought something like this could happen to me, but to come back and see Andy (Roeser) and Elgin (Baylor), it feels like I went off to college and now I’m back home. I can’t wait to get started."
On his role with the Clippers…
"It’s a new beginning. I haven’t learned my role yet, but whatever it is I’m going to do it."

On the acquisition of Ricky Davis…
"First of all, Ricky has shown a tremendous ability to torch people in this building. Unfortunately, he was playing for other teams when he did it, and he did it against us. We’re expecting a lot from Ricky Davis in terms of scoring and helping us. Looking at the bigger picture, I think that we’ve accomplished a lot in the last month, and I’d like to take a moment to congratulate the Basketball Staff on what we’ve accomplished. The end result is we’ve got experience and youth at basically every position, and I think we’re a much improved team."
On the similarities between Al Thornton and Ricky Davis…
"Al Thornton is here and he’s going to be a good player for us, but so is Ricky Davis. It’s going to be fun to see who starts and who comes off the bench and where the minutes are. The bottom line is we just want to win. These two guys up here with us have the same view. We just want to play, we want to win and compete. I think we’ll be in a position to compete against a lot of different teams and put a lot of different looks out there. It’s not an either or. There are 48 minutes in a game and we need to put the best players out there when we can. We’re expecting big things from both players."
Will there be any more moves this summer?
"When building a team, you’re never really done. But I think we’re at the point where our roster is coming into focus a little bit and I think people can be comfortable with what our team is going to look like. We’re never done, and don’t be surprised if we have more of these (press conferences) before training camp. We’re never done and we’re always trying."
On Shaun Livingston…
"We’d like to have Shaun back. He’s an unrestricted free agent, and he has a lot of work to do before he’s completely healthy. We love Shaun, he’s a part of our family and we hope that it works out to have him back."

On bringing back Jason Hart in exchange for Brevin Knight…
"If you look back, some of the best basketball we’ve played in the last two years was when Jason Hart was running the show for us. The last 18 games of the season two years ago during our Playoff push we were 11-7. Jason had career numbers, he can push the ball, he can guard multiple positions and he can defend the low post. The great thing about Jason is that guys love playing with Jason. He gets guys the basketball, he’s a leader, he knows his role and he’s one of the most unselfish point guards. In a back-up role he can play either behind or with Baron (Davis) at times. That versatility is really what we’re looking for."
On Shaun Livingston’s health…
"Shaun went back to Chicago to work with some trainers there. He’s still playing one-on-one in a controlled environment but he hasn’t been cleared for full contact basketball yet. We don’t really have an answer for when that will happen. Shaun’s on the top of our radar, we keep up with his progress. Hopefully he’ll end up in a Clippers uniform come October."
On whether there is a search for a defensive minded big man…
"There is. We’re pretty active in that market right now. We’ve had some conversations with some players and there should be some things happening within the next few days. At the end of the day, guards win games, and we’ve got some pretty good guards all of a sudden. We’ve got guys who can score, create their own shot and shoot the ball with range. I think we have a great mix."
