CLIPPERS AMONG 24 TEAMS IN VEGAS SUMMER LEAGUE

The Clippers are headed back to Vegas this summer.

Announced as one of 24 teams competing in the 2014 Samsung NBA Summer League, the Clippers will make their seventh appearance in 10 years since the event was launched.

For the second straight season, Summer League, which will be held July 11-21 at Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of UNLV, will feature a tournament format with a champion crowned on the final day.

In seven seasons in the desert, the Clippers have compiled a 14-26 record, including going 1-4 in 2013. Two players from that squad made the Clippers’ opening night roster, including first round pick Reggie Bullock.

Bullock, who appeared in 43 games in the regular season and averaged 2.7 points per game, will likely be among the featured players for the Clippers this summer. They also own the No. 28 pick in the 2014 Draft with whomever they select likely to join Bullock and others on the summer roster.

Similar to last season, teams will compete in three preliminary round games from July 11-15, before being seeded in a tournament running through the Championship Game on July 21. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games.

NBA TV will televise Samsung NBA Summer League games from Las Vegas with a complete schedule of games and broadcast information to be released at a later date. Additionally, fans will once again be able to watch, via a subscription-based package, every Samsung NBA Summer League game live on NBA.com and on the NBA Summer League app.
