Q: Who are you most looking forward to facing in 2002-03?
Melvin Ely:
"Juwan Howard. I grew up playing against him, and in a celebrity game, he dunked on me! So I haven't really forgotten about that...(laughs)...and I know he hasn't either!"
Andre Miller:
"I'm looking forward to facing everybody. Everyone talks about the talent level in the Western Conference, and this is my chance to see what its like."
Quentin Richardson:
"I always get up for the Lakers, because they are the champs and play in the same city."
Marko Jaric:
"Honestly, I don't think about that stuff. I just want to win and go the playoffs with these guys."
Cherokee Parks:
"The Lakers. Its a strange game to play...especially when its an "away" game. You go to the same arena, use the same locker room, but you're on the road. All the pre-game stuff is the same--but its still an away game. The hype around the game is also great, as its turned into an exciting rivalry the past few seasons."
Eric Piatkowski:
"I'm looking forward to a sold out Friday or Saturday night game against a tough team like the Lakers or Sacramento. Those are always fun!"
Sean Rooks:
"Its going to be fun to face Cleveland on Opening Night and bring Darius back home. Everyone misses him, even though we realize that there had to be sacrifices to get the caliber of player like Andre Miller."
Corey Maggette:
"I'm looking forward to facing every team in the league. But those teams like the Lakers, Kings, and Spurs are teams in our conference and are very important games for us. They are the best teams in the league, if we beat them, its sets the tempo for us."
