  • In the 2002 NBA Draft, selected 8th overall by the Clippers as an early entry candidate.
  • Enjoyed a meteoric rise from reserve forward as a freshman to one of the nation’s most exciting players as a sophomore.
  • An electrifying leaper, he was a constant on highlight shows for his powerful dunks and impressive blocked shots.
  • Named Third Team All-Atlantic Coast Conference as a sophomore.
  • Helped Maryland to the NCAA Final Four in each of his two seasons with the Terrapins, including the NCAA championship as a sophomore.

    Sophomore Year:
  • Started the final 22 games of the season in helping Maryland win the NCAA championship.
  • Averaged 12.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.56 blocked shots in only 24.1 minutes per game.
  • In NCAA Final Four win over Kansas, rose to the occasion with 18 points, nine rebounds and four blocked shots in 26 minutes.
  • In NCAA Championship Game win over Indiana, contributed 10 points and seven rebounds in 24 minutes.
  • Earlier in the Tournament, contributed 18 points and seven rebounds in win over Wisconsin.
  • Scored career-high 23 points and added 11 rebounds to lead Maryland in win over Duke.

  • Scored season-high 13 points in a season-high 27 minutes in his one start against Florida State.
  • Made 15 of 24 shots (62.5%) over the last 10 games of the season.
  • Scored six points in 13 minutes against George Mason in the NCAA Tournament.
  • Scored nine points and added six rebounds in just 11 minutes vs. Michigan.
