Hi Ralph- who would you like the Clippers to pick for the draft?
--David
David--
I think they'll draft based on need. The need depends on their plans for Olowokandi and Miller. If they do not plan to retain Michael, then Podkolzine or Kaman would make sense. If they are looking to replace Miller, then they'll likely hope to draft T.J. Ford.

Hey Ralph!! Can you tell me who your favorite prospects are in the draft and why? Thank you very much Ralph and hope to see you soon at the Long Beach summer games!
--Rex
Rex--
It's one of the most interesting drafts we've had in a long time. Any of the top 3 picks (James, Milicic & Anthony) would be worthy of going #1 most years. After that, the talent pool is very deep with palyers who have a chance at excellent pro careers. It's a Euro-heavy draft and that makes for a little more intrigue.

Ralph, you are an L.A. icon! Was Pavel Podkolzine really discovered by a Clipper scout? Does he have mid lottery talent?
--Alfonse
Alfonse -
I'll have a better feel for him after his workout with the team on Monday. From what I hear, he'll go anywhere from #4 - #8. Yes, he was discovered by the Clippers European scout.

Should the Clippers main focus be on getting a center this draft?
--Nghi Lam
Michael Olowokandi's fate is in his own hands. If the team thinks he's leaving - then the center position would seem to be the number one priority.

As a friend of the Big Redhead-Bill Walton, what is your take on his son, Luke?
--Jeff
It's really a shame that Luke was hurt so much of his senior season. Still, his innate feel for the game makes him a late lottery or early second round pick. He helped himself by playing at the pre-draft camp in Chicago. If he gets drafted by a team with a sound system, he'll play and play well.
