New Look Clippers Tip-Off 2008-09 Season Against the Lakers at STAPLES Center on October 29
The Clippers play nine of their first 10 games at STAPLES Center, and face eight teams that qualified for the 2007-08 NBA Playoffs during that span, highlighted by visits from Yao Ming and the Houston Rockets on Friday, November 7, Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, November 9 and Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs on Monday, November 17.
The Clippers schedule features 21 sets of back-to-back games this season, up from the 19 sets played in 2007-08. From January 30 through February 9, the Clippers will be in the midst of the longest road-trip of the season, a seven-game trek starting out in Cleveland and including stops in Washington, Miami, Orlando, Memphis, Atlanta and Charlotte. The Clippers also embark on a six-game road trip March 20 through March 28 featuring stops in Detroit, Toronto, Boston, New York, San Antonio and Houston. The Clippers have two four-game trips, the first going from December 2 – December 6 and the second lasting from December 16 – December 20.
Other highlights of the schedule include a visit from the World Champion Boston Celtics on March 23 as well as LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers coming to STAPLES Center on February 25.
This season, the Clippers will face every team in the Western Conference a total of four times (two home and two away), with the exception of the New Orleans Hornets, Memphis Grizzlies, Utah Jazz and Minnesota Timberwolves, who they will play three times each.

The Clippers new-look roster now stands at 12 players as Los Angeles has revamped its roster by adding a total of eight new faces for the 2008-09 season.
