Following training camp and exhibition games in Russia, the Clippers will take part in a total of six NBA preseason games, opening in Phoenix on October 17th in a Western Conference Semifinals rematch with the Suns.

Upon their return from Moscow, the Clippers will hold another week of training camp in Santa Barbara, CA. from October 10th through October 15th. This will mark the third consecutive season the Clippers have held training camp at Santa Barbara City College.
The Clippers will take part in a total of six NBA preseason games, opening in Phoenix on October 17th in a Western Conference Semifinals rematch with the Suns. The Clippers will then return to Los Angeles to take part in the Lakers Shootout at STAPLES Center on October 19th and 20th. The Clippers will visit the Lakers at 7:00 PM on the 19th and will face either the Golden State Warriors or New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets in a contest that tips off at 4:30 PM on the 20th. Day two of the Lakers Shootout will feature a “winners vs. winners” and “losers vs. losers” format based on the results from the October 19th games.
Los Angeles closes out the preseason with three consecutive home games at STAPLES Center. On October 21st, the Clippers will face the Seattle Sonics, on October 25th, the Portland Trail Blazers come to town and on October 27th, the Denver Nuggets visit Los Angeles.
