CLIPPERS 2008 DRAFT TEXT-TO-WIN SWEEPSTAKES
  1. TO ENTER: On your mobile phone, text who you predict the Clippers will draft with their first round pick and why to “MYLAC” (69522) to be eligible to win.

  2. DEADLINE: The contest begins on Thursday, June 12, 2008 and entries must be received by 3:00 pm on June 26, 2008 to be included in the prize drawings. The Los Angeles Clippers will not be responsible for lost, misdirected, or delayed entries or for technical malfunctions or unavailability of cell phone providers.

  3. SELECTION OF WINNERS: One (1) grand prize winner will receive a ‘Meet & Greet’ with the Clippers’ first round draft pick along with an autographed replica jersey ($250 value). The winner will be chosen from all eligible correct answers in a random drawing conducted by the Los Angeles Clippers on June 27, 2008. Three (3) runners-up will receive an autographed hat signed by the Clippers’ first round draft pick ($100 value). Runners-up will be selected from among all remaining correct answers. If a selected winner is not eligible, another participant will be selected from the remaining correct answers. If no correct answers remain, winners will be selected from the remaining pool of submitted answers. The odds of winning are dependent upon the number of answers received.

  4. AWARDING & DELIVERY OF PRIZES: One (1) grand prize winner will receive a ‘Meet & Greet’ with the Clippers’ 2008 first round draft pick following the Clippers post-draft press conference (date TBD) along with an autographed jersey signed by the Clippers first round draft pick. Three (3) runners up will win an autographed hat signed by the Clippers 2008 first round draft pick. No prize substitutions are available; however, the Clippers reserve the right to substitute prizes of comparable value. Prizes are not transferable and may not be redeemed for cash. Winners will be announced following the 2008 NBA Draft on June 27, 2008 and will be notified via the mobile phone number which was used to submit the answer for the contest.

  5. ELIGIBILITY: Entrants must be 14 years of age or older. The grand prize winner must live within 75 miles of STAPLES Center in order to guarantee attendance at the press conference. If the grand prize winner does not live within 75 miles of STAPLES Center, they will receive a runners-up prize and a new grand prize winner will be selected. All grand prize winners are responsible for their own transportation to and from STAPLES Center. Employees and immediate family members of The Los Angeles Clippers, The National Basketball Association and its Member Teams, NBA Properties, Inc., (SPONSORS) and affiliated sponsoring agencies are not eligible. This contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

  6. TERMS AND CONDITIONS: There is no premium fee for participating in this contest but standard text messaging rates apply. Every participant will receive the opportunity to purchase discounted merchandise at www.clippersstore.com and an opt-in opportunity for MYLAC, Clippers mobile text alerts. Participating in the Clippers Draft Meet & Greet contest does not indicate a subscription to future Clippers promotional material unless the participant opts-in.

  7. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY AND RELEASE: All decisions regarding administration of this contest made by the Los Angeles Clippers are final and binding. By entering, entrants agree to release the Los Angeles Clippers, The National Basketball Association and its Member Teams, NBA Properties, Inc., its affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any claim, loss, liability, damage or injury of any kind arising from their participation in the contest or their receipt or use of the contest prize. By entering, except where prohibited by law, each entrant grants permission, without further compensation to The Los Angeles Clippers, the National Basketball Association and its Member Teams, NBA Properties, Inc., (deleted) and their agents and licensees, to use the entrant's name, voice, photograph, likeness and biographical material for promotional purposes in connection with the contest. Contest shall be governed and enforced pursuant to California law, excluding choice of law provisions. Federal, state and local taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner, who will receive a 1099 tax form reflecting the actual value of any prize valued at $600 or more.
