After finding their winning ways against the Portland Trail Blazers Thursday night, the Los Angeles Clippers couldn't make it a streak, as they succumbed to the San Antonio Spurs 77-62 in their fourth game of the Las Vegas Summer League. Alonzo Gee set the scoring pace for the Spurs with 20, and Al-Farouq Aminu led the way for the Clippers with 16 points.

The Clippers jumped out to a quick 10-0 lead over the Chicago Bulls in their 2nd game of the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas but the fast start was not sustained in a 79-50 loss that dropped their SL record to 0-2.

The NBA’s Las Vegas Summer League is a unique and highly successful event thanks in no small part to the wisdom and tireless energy of the league’s patriarch and noted NBA agent, Warren LeGarie.
It’s predecessors in Los Angeles, Orange County and the more recent Rocky Mountain Revue pale in comparison in terms of participation, competition, organization and certainly, attendance. A much smaller Orlando Summer League precedes it each year but serves as little more than a tasty appetizer for the main course that is the Vegas event featuring 22 of the NBA’s 30 teams.
