Doc Rivers Named Western Conference Coach Of The Month

The NBA today announced that L.A. Clippers head coach Doc Rivers has been named Western Conference Coach of the Month for October and November. This is Rivers’ 11th career Coach of the Month honor. He last won the award in April 2017. The Toronto Raptors’ Nick Nurse was the Eastern Conference winner.

Rivers led the Clippers to a Western Conference-best 15-6 record over the first two months of the season, tied for the NBA’s second-best record in that span. L.A. won 11 of their last 13 games in November, including nine of their last 10 and have won nine straight at home, the NBA’s longest active home winning streak. The Clippers went 6-0 in games decided by five points or less in October and November, and their bench led the NBA, averaging 53.8 points per game. Their 15-6 start was tied for the team’s fourth-best through 21 games in franchise history.

The Clippers are currently tied atop the Western Conference standings at 15-7.
