Clippers Foundation Brings a Unique Holiday Shopping Experience to Families During the Holiday Season
Toy donations from Feed The Children assisted the Clippers Foundation with the creation of a Holiday Toyland. Parents who would not have the means to purchase toys for their families had the opportunity to shop for free and select items for their children. In addition at risk children from the center’s literacy program were also invited to select toys for their achievements and active participation at the Clippers Reading and Learning Center located at A Place Called Home. Children and parents also received books courtesy of the Los Angeles Clippers Read to Achieve program.
A Place Called Home provides educational programs, counseling, mentoring, music, dance and art classes. The mission is to provide at-risk youth with a secure, positive family environment where they can regain hope and belief, earn trust and self-respect and learn skills to lead to a productive lifestyle free of the gangs, drugs and poverty that surround them. We help inner city youth find their dreams through educational enrichment.
