Clippers BasketBowl Challenge | March 27, 2011

The 11th annual Clippers BasketBowl Challenge took place on Sunday, March 27 at the Keystone Lanes in Norwalk. The event brought out the entire Clippers team to go at it in a day of bowling with fans, corporate sponsors, and members of the community, while the proceeds benefited the Los Angeles Clippers Foundation and local children’s charities.

The Los Angeles Clippers celebrated fitness and healthy nutrition on Friday, January 28, 3011 with the Clippers FIT Minutes Challenge winning school – Blessed Sacrament School. Blessed Sacrament School tracked over 645,750 minutes of physical activity.

Los Angeles Clippers Feed The Community Season of Giving Event Feeds 2,400 Families in Los Angeles | 12.13.10

The Los Angeles Clippers Foundation in a joint effort with Feed The Children, Rancho Cienega Sports Complex and the Salvation Army Siemon Family Youth and Community Center provided 2,400 families in Los Angeles with food and every day essentials.

Clippers Celebrate Reading at A Place Called Home | 11.30.10

The Los Angeles Clippers took timeout to promote reading at one of the Clippers Reading & Learning Centers, A Place Called Home, on Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Los Angeles Clippers player Craig Smith took part in a reading timeout with a group of elementary and middle school children. Children also participated in a question and answer session with Smith and received books and school supplies as part of the Clippers Read to Achieve program.

Teamwork at the Table Thanksgiving Event | 11.23.10

On Tuesday, November 23, 2010 the Los Angeles Clippers Foundation held their 22nd annual Thanksgiving event "Teamwork at the Table”. This day of giving began with Clippers Top Executives serving Thanksgiving meals to families at Bread & Roses Café in Venice. Later in the afternoon, Clippers players Brian Cook, Baron Davis, Eric Gordon, DeAndre Jordan, and Craig Smith as well as Clippers staff and season ticket holders distributed turkeys, food baskets, clothes and books at St. Joseph Center.

Feed the Community | 10.23.10

The Los Angeles Clippers Foundation partnered with Feed The Children to provide 800 families with food and to make a difference in the lives of children and families in Los Angeles where hunger and need are daily realities. Clippers players Rasual Butler, Baron Davis, Ryan Gomes and Blake Griffin; Clippers staff and season ticket holders handed out food boxes and personal care boxes to area families in need. Children also received books courtesy of the Clippers Read to Achieve program.

The entire Los Angeles Clippers team took to the streets of Los Angeles on Friday, October 15, 2010 to surprise season ticket holders, sponsors and fans. Players thanked fans for their support at four different locations around Los Angeles. Fans were able to meet and talk with the players, take photos and received Clippers tickets and gear.

Summer Kids Clinics | 8.4.10

Los Angeles Clippers Owner Donald T. Sterling, in conjunction with the Los Angeles Clippers Foundation are conducting free Summer Clinics. The Summer Clinic program, now in its fourth year, was initiated by Sterling in 2006 and has thus far accommodated a total of 7,200 southern California youths.
Each clinic hosts 250 children ranging from ages 6 to 14. Participants receive lunch, t-shirts, gift bags and books courtesy of the Clippers Read to Achieve Program. Children registered in the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation & Parks’ day camp program at each site will be participating as well as children from the local community through phone-in registration.

2009-10 Stay in School Scholarship Recipients | 4.12.10

The 2009-10 Los Angeles Clippers Stay in School Scholarship recipients were recognized during the Clippers vs. Dallas Mavericks game on Monday, April 12, 2010. The Los Angeles Clippers are pleased to offer an opportunity to assist college-bound students. Four $2,500 scholarships were made available to seniors planning to attend a four-year college beginning in the fall of 2010 and residing in the greater Los Angeles area.

  • Los Angeles Clippers Foundation Charity Basketbowl Challenge | 3.20.10

    The Los Angeles Clippers Foundation Charity BasketBowl Challenge is an exciting interactive day of bowling with the Clippers team. On Saturday, March 20, 2010, corporate partners, season ticket holders and Clippers fans of all ages came out to bowl with the entire Clippers team and coaching staff at Keystone Lanes in Norwalk. The 2010 Charity BasketBowl Challenge raised $100,000 with proceeds benefiting local youth programs through the Los Angeles Clippers Foundation.

    Clippers Celebrate Fitness through the Fastbreak to Fitness Program | 2.8.10

    The Los Angeles Clippers celebrated fitness on Monday, February 8, 2010, with the Fastbreak to Fitness Minutes Challenge winning school - Mariposa-Nabi Primary Center. Mariposa-Nabi tracked over 132,000 minutes of physical activity. Clippers player Mardy Collins with Assistant Coach Raman Sposato led winning students through an interactive clinic focused on basketball and fitness.

    Season of Giving | 12.09

    Rasual Butler and DeAndre Jordan surprised 200 children at the Watts Cluster with toys for the holidays. Craig Smith and his family assist children in their community this holiday season by providing 160 students at Raymond Avenue Elementary School with presents. Baron Davis gave back to his community this holiday season by providing over 350 students at Southpark Elementary School with gifts.

    On Saturday, November 21st, at 2:00p.m., the Los Angeles Clippers held their annual Thanksgiving event, "Teamwork at the Table", at St. Joseph Center in Venice, CA. Clippers General Manager/Head Coach Mike Dunleavy and his assistant coaching staff along with Clippers’ players Marcus Camby, Baron Davis, Eric Gordon, Blake Griffin, Steve Novak, Kareem Rush, Craig Smith, Sebastian Telfair, Al Thornton distributed Thanksgiving turkeys and food baskets, courtesy of Ralphs Grocery Company. In addition to food items, clothing and books were also distributed to families in attendance.
