Adopt A Family

On Friday, December 10, 2010, the Los Angeles Clippers Players, The Salvation Army Siemon Family Youth and Community Center and the Los Angeles Clippers Foundation celebrated the Holiday Season by providing 25 families with holiday gifts, food and much more.

The families shared in one-on-one time with Clippers players: Baron Davis, Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan and Randy Foye.

Children gathered around the tree to participate in a reading timeout with the players reading Are You Grumpy Santa. After the reading timeout, every member of the family received special presents, books courtesy of the Read to Achieve program and other goodies.

To conclude the event, Clippers players gathered the parents to announce that they were providing assistance with January’s rent and gift cards for food, clothing and necessities.

The Los Angeles Clippers Foundation exists to foster and support community outreach programs and activities with positive educational, civic, environmental and humanitarian values that benefit and enhance the quality of life primarily for children in greater Los Angeles.

Family selection was based on need reflecting monthly income, school age children living in the home, rent limitations and employment status. This event is a surprise for our selected families maintaining special attention to the sensitive nature of their circumstances.
