Training Camp Q & A: Chris Kaman
With 2006 Training Camp under way, Clippers.com wants to give the members of Clipper Nation a chance to ask the players and coaches whatever is on your mind.
Erik Misael: Who do you style your game after? Who were inspirational basketball players for you?
Larry Brisley: What do you eat for breakfast?
Forrest Brinkerhoff: Do you enjoy the Kave Man Krazies?
Chris Kaman: It’s cool. I think those guys are great – they come out and support the team and myself.
Ryan VanVolkinburg: Hi Chris. What have you been doing this off-season to improve your game? How has your shoulder healed from your injury against the Suns in the playoffs? You’re the most underrated player in the NBA.
Chris Kaman: I’ve done a lot of work all over the court to expand my range and I’ve done a lot of work off the glass.
Art Higgins: Did you do any strength conditioning for the summer and did you gain any weight? You were fantastic this last year and too much weight can slow you down, so how did you manage your conditioning?
Chris Kaman: I lost about 15 pounds. I did a lot of leg work, but unfortunately because of my shoulder I didn’t do too much upper body work.
Julianna Guisseppe: I'm a big fan, and I don't care what anybody says, I love the hair. One thing I'd like to see though: cornrows. What are the chances we'll see a Wilcox-esque 'do this season?
Chris Kaman: Zero percent chance.

My shoulder’s doing really well, I’ve been seeing a physical therapist every day and it’s feeling really good.
