APR. 22, 2014: WHAT THEY’RE SAYING

Here is a glimpse at what was being talked about prior to the Clippers’ practice Tuesday in Playa Vista:

Asked what it is like to enter a postseason healthy for the first time in three years…

Blake Griffin: “Being healthy at this time is obviously a blessing. A lot of guys are banged up, but just to be able to play last night, regular minutes and not have any issues is great.”

Asked what Doc Rivers’ message to the second unit was before they took floor on Monday…

Glen Davis: “His message was the same: go out there and make them feel you basically, go out there and set the tempo and don’t let them slide. Give them everything you’ve got.”

Asked what was going on between him and Jermaine O’Neal in the first half of Game 2…

Doc Rivers: “It was a lot of talk. I coached Jermaine, so I think it was a little bit of that in a good way. Then it got more fun than anything else… I don’t like getting in stuff like that. I don’t think a coach should ever really get involved but I thought in that situation it was needed.”
