The Clippers' roster contains no rookies, but the team could still be a major presence in the got milk? Rookie Challenge over All-Star Weekend thanks to their super sophomores. DePaul product Quentin Richardson currently leads the trio, that also includes Darius Miles and Keyon Dooling, with averages of 13.5 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.

The 6-6 guard came to the Clippers as the 18th overall selection in the 2000 draft. He started 28 games last season, averaging 8.1 points and 3.4 rebounds. This year, Richardson has settled into a consistent role as the Clippers' third leading scorer. He's scored in double figures 22 times and had at least 20 points nine times. His best outing this season came in a win over the Grizzlies on Nov. 7, where Richardson scored 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds.

His sharp outside shooting forces defensive respect, giving some breathing room down low to Clippers stars Elton Brand and Lamar Odom. Richardson ranks among the league's top 20 in three statistical categories, including 16th in three-point field goal percentage (42.6 percent).

Richardson goes way back with his fellow sophomores, well before they became Clippers teammates. He and Miles played on the same AAU team and were roommates for pre-draft workouts. They played against Dooling's AAU team. Richardson then teamed up with Dooling on the 1998 USA Basketball Men's Junior National Team that won the World Championship that year.

Now Richardson is an important part of the Clippers' run for their first playoff berth since 1997. Recently, he took some time to answer a selection of fan e-mails. Of course, when you see Richardson, Miles is usually not far behind and couldn't resist "helping" with some of the answers.

How has the addition of Elton Brand affected the team as a whole? By the way, good luck and stay healthy!!
David
Chicago

Richardson: It's been all positive. We have a solid four man. He should be an All-Star. He can go out every night and get you 20 and 10. That's a big help because now we have stability in the post.

Everyone in the league expected you to come out and be such a dominant player. And this year has been definitely your best year in your career so far. What did you do this summer to prepare for this outstanding season that you're having this year? Keep up the good work.
Jamarr
San Diego

Richardson: The same thing I do every summer – go back home, get in the gym and work out. I work out every day and get some good competition going, in pickup games and stuff.

How did it feel for you and Darius Miles to be picked by Michael Jordan to wear his brand of shoes and clothes?
Bethany
College Park, Md.

Richardson: That's a big honor and accomplishment. With us growing up watching Mike and idolizing him to now being able to have a relationship with him and also get paid to wear his shoes. But we still always tell him if they're ugly.

What does the headband pound mean after a big play by the Clippers?
Brandon
Roanoke Rapids, NC

Miles: We can't tell that. It's a secret.

Richardson: Nobody knows but me and him. Well, one other guy.

Miles: Our teammates don't even know.

What is it like playing basketball with Darius Miles?
Kendra

Richardson: It's cool. He's my boy and I've known him for a long time, so it's real cool.

Miles: He loves playing with Darius Miles. Send us a picture Kendra.

This is the Clippers' No. 1 fan. My question is, what do the Clippers do when they are on those long road trips like you are right now??
Brittany
San Dimas, Calif.

Richardson: Play video games, go to the movies, hang out in the hotel rooms.

Quentin, how did it feel on draft night to hear your name being called and knowing that you were going to be playing with your friend, Darius Miles?
Frank
Staten Island, NY

Richardson: That was big time. Just to get called period was big time. Then when we found out we were going to be on the same team, it made it that much better. We knew the next day we were taking a flight to the same place. That was great.
