Philadelphia’s John Salmons Wins Most Outstanding Player of the Reebok Pro Summer League

Boston, MA. – The Boston Celtics and Reebok announced today that John Salmons of the Philadelphia 76ers is the Most Outstanding Player of the 2003 Reebok Pro Summer League.

Salmons finished the Reebok Pro Summer League averaging 19.6 points and 5.8 assists per game. His week was highlighted by a 35-point 8 assist effort in the Sixers 91-87 win over Boston Friday night. Salmons joins previous winners of the award Seattle’s Desmond Mason (2000), Philadelphia’s Raja Bell (2001) and Atlanta’s Dion Glover (2002).

The Celtics Kedrick Brown and Brandon Hunter join Salmons on the Reebok Pro Summer League First Team, along with Devin Brown of the San Antonio Spurs and Donny Marshall of the New Jersey Nets. The Reebok Pro Summer League Second Team consists of the Wizards Juan Dixon, Milwaukee’s T.J. Ford, Boston’s Marcus Banks, New Jersey’s Brian Scalabrine and Cleveland’s Carlos Boozer.
