The Celtics welcome the Atlanta Hawks to the Garden tonight, and they'll be looking for revenge after the Hawks dealt them a 100-96 loss last Monday afternoon.
The Celtics hope to have both Wally Szczerbiak (ankle) and Brian Scalabrine (knee) back in action tonight, as both players practiced yesterday and proclaimed themselves "day-to-day".
The Hawks have beaten the Celtics in three of their last four match-ups. However, tonight could be the perfect opportunity for the Celtics to snap their eight-game losing streak, as the Hawks come to town on a three-game losing streak of their own after dropping a 94-86 decision to the Bulls in Chicago Tuesday night.
The Hawks are one of the worst scoring teams in the league, as they average just 91.8 PPG, and they give up almost six more points a game and have allowed opponents to shoot 46.5% from the field.
Despite the losses, Ryan Gomes has stepped up his game as of late, as Gomes is averaging 19.4 points and 7.6 rebounds over his last five games, which is up drastically from his 7.4 and 3.6 averages in the previous five contests.
