Celtics Activate Delonte West

BOSTON, MA (January 21, 2005) - The Boston Celtics announced today that they have activated guard Delonte West from the Injured List. In a related move the Celtics have placed forward Tom Gugliotta on the Injured List with a mild right ankle sprain.

West, the 24th overall selection in the 2004 NBA Draft was placed on the Injured List December 1, with a fractured right fourth metacarpal. He's appeared in two games this season, averaging 3.5 points and 2.0 assists in 12.0 minutes per game. It was his second stint on the Injured List after the 6-4 guard, who helped lead St. Joseph's to a 30-2 record last season, missed the first 10 games of the season with a right thumb fracture.

Gugliotta has appeared in 10 games, averaging 1.2 points and 2.0 rebounds in 10.4 minutes per game.
