"The combination of a Celtics game versus a high quality opponent and a special post game concert performed by one of the country's hottest acts, The All-American Rejects, promises to be a great entertainment value for basketball and music fans alike," said Rich Gotham, Celtics Executive Vice President.
This special concert event supports The All-American Rejects' sophomore album, Move Along, which entered the Billboard Top 200 album chart in July at number six. Move Along has since gone gold by selling more than 700,000 copies. The band's hit single, "Dirty Little Secret," recently reached the top 15 on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart.
The All-American Rejects have become one of America's most popular alternative rock banks since their self-titled platinum debut album. The band followed that success by touring the country with the Warped Tour before getting hard to work on their sophomore effort, the much-anticipated Move Along. Produced by Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Hoobastank), Move Along is poised to vault the band's finely crafted mix of rock/pop mayhem to worldwide prominence. The All-American Rejects currently are on a sold-out U.S. tour, which has included a main-stage performance at this summer's 2005 Vans Warped Tour.
