The Click Five to Perform Following the November 16 Celtics Game

Boston, MA (November 1, 2005) — The Boston Celtics announced today that Boston-based band The Click Five will perform a special concert for fans immediately following the Celtics vs. Seattle SuperSonics game on Wednesday, November 16 at the TD Banknorth Garden. This will be the first in a series of three concerts, presented by Verizon Wireless, which will take place after Celtics games this season. The new school power pop band will perform live after Paul Pierce, Ricky Davis and the Celtics take on Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis and the Sonics. Celtics fans attending the contest are invited to stay and listen to one of music’s hottest up-and-coming acts perform at this exclusive post-game show.

This is the first of many special events the Celtics are providing for fans this season. Along with special in-arena concerts and theme nights, the Celtics will also host a start of the season block party on opening night, Wednesday, November 2 before the Celtics take on the New York Knicks.

This special concert event supports The Click Five’s debut album Greetings From Imrie House, released in August. The album entered the Billboard Top 200 at #15 and has sold more than 200,000 copies since. Their hit single, “Just The Girl,” recently hit #11 on Billboard’s Hot 100, sold over 400,000 digital singles and was parked at the #1 spot on Apple iTunes Most Downloaded singles chart for almost three weeks this summer.

Originally known as The Click, the band has roots in Boston with four out of the five members having attended the Berklee College of Music. With no member older than 23, the group has already enjoyed tremendous success and has collaborated with many esteemed musicians including Paul Stanley of Kiss, Elliott Easton of the Cars and Adam Schlesinger of Fountains of Wayne.

This new school power pop phenomenon has toured with Ashlee Simpson, Aaron Carter, Jesse McCartney and the Backstreet Boys are currently on a North American tour with Ryan Cabrera. They have become a fixture on MTV’s Total Request Live (TRL) and performed at their “Back To School Week” in September. They have also appeared on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live” where they performed their hit single. The Click Five consists of Eric Drill on lead vocals, Joe Guese on lead guitar, Ethan Mentzer on bass, Ben Romans on keyboards and Joey Zehr on drums.
