The Celtics used a potent combination of 3-point shooting, ball movement and defense to dissect the Jazz 105-86 Wednesday night at home.
Kevin Garnett (18 points) and Ray Allen (15 points) led a balanced attack that saw all five starters and two reserves score in double figures. Off the bench, Marquis Daniels scored 10 points and Rasheed Wallace added 12. Paul Pierce (13 points) was 3-5 from beyond the arc and Allen was 1-3. Wallace drained two 3-pointers. Rajon Rondo dished out 11 of Boston's 30 assists and scored 14 points.
Boston's next game is at 8 p.m. Friday, when the C's host the Atlanta Hawks.

The Boston Celtics raised over $700,000 for area children's charities at their annual Shamrock Gala, benefitting the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation, at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel. Proceeds from the event benefit the focus partners of the Shamrock Foundation including Perkins School for the Blind, Boston Children's Hospital, Horizons for Homeless Children, the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC), and Berklee College of Music.
All of the Celtics players attended the event and took part in a session on stage where they impersonated one another other, answered questions from a moderator and played an entertaining game of pictionary.

Rajon Rondo visited MSPCC's Kids Day on October 15, 2009 and participated in their afternoon meeting. Rondo spoke to the kids about his recent trip to Germany and pointed out to them where Germany falls on the global map.
During Rondo's visit, September's two Token Economy winners were introduced. Those two winners will be greeted at the next Kids Day by an afternoon of shopping with the Celtics' point guard.
