Boston Sputters Down the Stretch and Falls to Atlanta on the Road

The Celtics couldn't duplicate their hot first-half shooting down the stretch and they fell to the Hawks 88-83 Friday night in Atlanta. The Hawks started the final quarter on a 20-7 run to take the wind out of Boston's sails.

The loss marks yet another dropped game in the second night of a back-to-back this season, coming after a hard-fought victory in San Antonio just one night prior. Paul Pierce netted a game-high 25 points to go with eight rebounds, while Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo each earned double-doubles.
