Celtics Flounder Down the Stretch in a Home Loss to Bobcats

The Celtics squandered a 13-point fourth quarter lead as they fell to the Charlotte Bobcats 83-81 Friday night in Boston. Both Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett attempted potential game-winning 3-point shots as the final seconds ticked away, but each attempt was just off the mark.

Garnett was one rebound shy of a double-double as he netted 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Paul Pierce scored a game-high 18 points to go with three rebounds, four assists and a steal.
