Nail-Biter Finish Ends in Defeat as Boston Falls to Memphis

Paul Pierce missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer at the final buzzer on Wednesday night and the Celtics fell 90-87 at home to the Grizzlies. Pierce scored 18 of his game-high 22 points in the second half.

Rajon Rondo had yet another exceptional game, earning his 27th double-double of the season as he grabbed 11 rebounds and 11 assists to go with seven steals. Former Celtic Leon Powe played well for the Grizzlies, tying for the team-high in points with 13 off of the visitors' bench.
