Pelicans 95, Celtics 92 - January 3, 2014
The Celtics had a chance to tie the game as time expired Friday night, but Jared Sullinger missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer and the C's fell to the Pelicans 95-92 at TD Garden. The game, which saw nine ties and 14 lead changes, came down to the wire despite a subpar shooting night by Boston.
Avery Bradley did his best to keep the C's even with the Pelicans, scoring a team-high 22 points. Kris Humphries (12 rebounds) was excellent off the bench and finished with double-digit boards for the third straight game. Jordan Crawford dished out a game- and season-high 11 assists in the loss.
