The Celtics fell flat in the fourth quarter and lost the series opener to the Knicks 85-78 Saturday afternoon in New York. After leading by as many as seven points, Boston fell out of its offensive rhythm and recorded just eight points while committing eight turnovers in the final frame.
Jeff Green headed up the Celtics' scoring effort by recording 26 points to go with seven rebounds. Paul Pierce had 21 points and a team-high seven assists. Boston shot a perfect 19-for-19 from the free throw line in the loss.
