The Celtics couldn't find an answer for a gelling Lakers team on Wednesday night and they fell to their hosts, 113-99, in Los Angeles. Paul Pierce poured in 23 of his game-high 26 points in the first half before Los Angeles held him to just three points in the final two periods.
Courtney Lee continued his stretch of strong play, scoring a season-high 20 points on 9-of-16 shooting while grabbing four rebounds. Jeff Green had 15 points to go with a team-high seven rebounds. Dwight Howard led the Lakers with 24 points and 12 rebounds.
